Walk.

Sleep.

Eat.

Often, when I post about 礼品之路 ( Lǐpǐn zhī lù ) – The Way of the Gift – I share ideas about the way we think, for it is definitely in our minds & hearts that happiness germinates.

A lot of our happiness has to do with our mindset, our attitude and ultimately our world-view.

We are, however, not just Spirit.

Not just Spirit.

We are a unique combination of ‘wind & earth’.

Soul & matter, fused together in an uncommonly beautiful synergy.

And so, when it comes to happiness, there are some things we need in a physical sense, without which our happiness wanes.

Happiness isn’t an exclusively Spiritual thing.

Happiness overwhelms us when we acknowledge the extraordinary fusion of ‘wind & earth’ we are.

I moved to North-East China, a little more than a year ago.

I’m studying ‘happiness’.

The boy with the Green Truck

Theunis & I have started a blog for people who have parents, grandparents or partners who suffer from depression.

We’ll be writing together.

We’re hoping, somehow, it will help someone.

Click the link below to see our first contribution as we start to unravel this thing.

The boy with the Green Truck.

hidden

i hide who i am

it’s self preservation realy

from new people that i meet

from my friends

sometimes from my husband and my kids

from my family

especialy from my family

they are the worst

i think because i am a sucker when it comes to hope

if you know me you will know that my motto is: anything is possible

i am a victim of depression

no! i do not have depression

my mom has depression

and i am a victim

something i never realized

i tried to find info that would help me undestand ME better but its all about the person with depression

and i know its hard for them…extremely hard

but there are 2 sides to this coin

and today i am at a place where i am trying to make sense

am i the only one that sees her munipulation

her lies

her conditions:

conditional love

conditional acceptance

of me

my husband

my kids

who i am

who we are

what we do

and how we do things

and i wonder…what are my friends thinking

of me

my husband

my kids

but worst of all was realising today that my family….of all people…do not see

they do not see her lies and deception

or perhaps they are turning a blind eye

a voice (image from flickr)

To be a voice for the voiceless.

This, I think, is the greatest gift we can give.

86 voiceless old people.

Their 240 grand-children.

For 6 months they were left in dilapidated shacks.

Within a week this atrocity started to turn into something beautiful.

As their voice was heard.

And Mr Lexi Pullen of Eldorado Construction resolved to fix what was a massive injustice.

Today, not even three weeks since their voice was heard for the first time, almost half of these homes have their roofs back on.

And there is hope.

Mr Pullen seems to be keeping himself to his promise.

Perhaps, soon, these families will be able to move out of the shanty shacks & back into their homes?

But their furniture, their cupboards, their carpets, their flooring, their electrical installations, which were working…
